Political breakaways and breakages
The Green Party is beset with internal problems. There is, not surprisingly, a debate about the best options for ‘real Greens’ in the party. Should it be fight (ie organise for reform and renewal) or flight (with the option of launching a new party). These two options (and briefly others) are discussed below, along with two case studies of breakaways groups and attempts to launch a new organisation.
